Gretchen Trasorras

Certified Personal Trainer & Owner

Gretchen has been in the fitness industry since 1988, and has seen many trends come and go over the years.  She started with the Auburn, NY YMCA in 1988, then started a 20 year career with Lifestyle Family Fitness in 1991.  She has held personal training certifications with AFAA and NASM, and various group fitness certifications from AEA, AFAA, ACSM, Les Mills, Real Ryder, and Booty Barre.


Gretchen also holds a BFA in Theatre from VCU.  She thoroughly enjoys helping participants raise their fitness thresholds and accomplish feats they never dreamed possible in a fun yet purposeful environment.


Being a breast cancer survivor, Gretchen holds a special place for empowering individuals to overcome their obstacles.  Her vision for 5th Gear Fitness is one that encompasses all aspects of fitness, healthy eating habits, and healthy living in an effort to bring out the best in every person with whom she has the privilege of working. Although she has an unwavering passion for teaching and coaching fitness and health, Gretchen is driven by her dedication to her two amazing daughters, Ursula and Olivia.

Jessica Adams

Certified Personal Trainer & Owner

Jessica began her fitness journey as a client many years ago and was inspired by how her trainer changed her which, ultimately, changed her career path. She understands what it feels like to be the client and the emotions that go along with striving to make life changes.

Jessica first started by competing as a NPC Figure competitor in 2006 and then  again in 2007.  She became a NASM certified Personal Trainer and specializes in one-on-one training, group training, children's fitness and sports specific training. Jessica is an AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor with certifications in Les Mills BodyFlow, Cycling, RealRyder Cycling and Booty Barre. She also teaches Yoga, Pilates, Kettlebell, Boot Camp, and Circuit and Sculpt classes. She realized very quickly that her experience with personal training and knowledge of the body was an asset to the group fitness participants.


Paired with her creativity, Jessica is able to construct a fun, effective, and safe workout for all participants. She has always had a desire to bridge the gap between the "Personal Trainers" and "Group Fitness" Instructors.

Establishing a studio of her own is an exciting new endeavor which allows Jessica to bring together a talented team of professionals who will work together to create the ideal experience for each and every 5th Gear Fitness member!

Erin Johnson

NASM and SCW Certified Personal Trainer

Erin is a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Les Mills BODYFLOW Certified. She is extremely passionate about helping others and educating them about Wellness, Exercise and Nutrition. Set up a consultation with her or hop into a class!

Cecilia Little

STOTT Certified Personal Trainer,

Since moving to the area, Cecilia has finalized her Stott certification and has completed further certifications in Mat Pilates, Reformer, Injuries and Special Populations, Cadillac, Stability Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel, and Spine Corrector. She also teaches Pilates Stick, which is a combination of Reformer and Cadillac. Cecilia holds an additional certification in Total Barre.


Although Cecilia received her degree in midwifery in college, she believes that she didn’t truly find her calling until she became a Pilates instructor. Since joining the 5th Gear Fitness family, Cecilia feels that she has found a place that allows her to progress her knowledge and training of Pilates. She is excited for the opportunity to continually challenge her class participants to gain strength, mobility, and flexibility, to try new things, and to grow and deepen her talents and experience as an instructor.

Matt Pagan

NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Matt Pagan is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Schwinn Certified Cycle Instructor and Men’s Physique Competitor. He makes every workout challenging, creative and knows just how hard to push to bring out your full potential. Doug Binnion

Schwinn Indoor Cycling Certification

Doug’s fitness journey began in his childhood through participation in youth and high school sports. His journey continued while in the military, as well as through coaching baseball, cross country, basketball, and football. In January 2017 Doug was looking for something different and found it at 5th Gear Fitness. Becoming part of the 5th Gear Fitness Family has changed his life. The high energy and incredible cardio benefits of cycle soon became his favorite class so much that Doug was inspired to become a certified cycle instructor in 2020. Teaching keeps him motivated to reach new fitness goals, but more importantly it has allowed him to inspire others to reach higher.

Brandon 

NASM Certified Personal Trainer

Brandon began his fitness journey and found his inspiration after nearly over a decade served in the U.S. Air Force. Unfortunately, during his career, he suffered numerous chronic injuries, but through rehabilitation he discovered a new purpose, which led to the pursuit of a career in the fitness industry. Using his personal experiences, this has opened the door and fueled a passion for teaching the fundamentals, corrective exercises, rehabilitative techniques, and injury prevention which ensures that his clients’ training doesn’t just stop in the gym but instead carries over into their everyday lives.


Brandon is currently a Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa in Human Performance, specializing in Exercise Physiology with an anticipated graduation of May 2022. Currently he holds his Certified Personal Trainer, and Corrective Exercise Specialist certifications through NASM.


He is excited for the opportunity to be a part of 5th Gear Fitness and looks forward to challenging and inspiring everlasting change both inside and outside of the gym!

Eli Lopez-Caicedo

Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider

Eli is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher E-RYT 500. She is also a Primary Group Instructor through AFAA, CPR AED certified, and insured.


Eli teaches several yoga styles such as Hatha, Power, Chair, Yin, Gentle, YogaTab℠, Restorative, Nidra, Heated Vinyasa, and Meditations.


Eli has the spiritual gift of diagnosing the condition of the 7 major Chakras (Energy Centers), as well as restoring their innate spin. She is also an intuitive Tarot reader. She leads a healthy lifestyle and often connects with the elements of Sunshine, Wind, Water and Earth. By, nurturing her senses in the symphony of the present moment.

Gabi Lanigan

Certified Health Coach

Gabi is a Certified Health Coach, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, Natural Bikini Competitor, Posing Coach and lives a Plant-Based lifestyle.


A Certified Health Coach, you help individuals and families achieve their health and wellness goals by providing trusted, science-based information, positive encouragement and motivation. Health coaches help clients change their lives, improving their physical health and overall well-being. Through coaching, you create individualized solutions that support genuine, lasting lifestyle changes. It’s more than just knowing the science behind nutrition and exercise, it’s understanding how to motivate coaching clients to live happier, healthier lives.
